This is my origami bird. this bird was meant to be a dragon but i messed up a bit.
I have found parts really challenging and really hard. i found this dragon on the Korimako website found by Amelia Osborn.

Hi, this week has been my first week of distance learning, I have found it kind of annoying. this is because I cant be near my friends but I like being at home.
I find it really fun to be at home because I get to play with my brother, Ollie and my Mum, and my Dad when he is not working.
Ollie and I have been camping in our back garden. Some of the nights have been really cold but me and my brother found a solution to it. We put our blankets inside of our sleeping bags.
My mum and dad bought a rowing machine and I have been going on it to do workouts, my last row was 1000 meters.
We did some art today, we got to draw Sonic and a pig.

Living in isolation

 

Living in isolation sucks. living in isolation means that you can't go out and meet your friends, and hang out with them. You cant drive out to the beach and you can’t be far from home or like me, I can't go up to my bach in Lake Brunner! But there are a lot of positives of being in isolation. You get to spend more time with your family, and it's basically like a holiday because you don’t have to work as hard! You get to spend the day in pyjamas. You don't have to get up early you could even stay in bed the WHOLE day! One of my goals are to stay in pyjamas the whole day!

It was a bit boring the first couple days but it  is getting better living in isolation.

My Morning Fly fish

 

Hi this is my story it all happened on 25 March 2020.

 Morning Fly Fish

 At 9:00 my mum, my brother and I went fly fishing at the Groynes. First we set the rods up and tied the fly on, then we went to choose our spots. The water was crystal clear and we started casting. My mum spotted movement in the water. Could it be a fish? It was a fish so i came over and casted there but I scared the fish, i recasted and the fish came back! All of a sudden we saw it nibbling on something then we realised it was nibbling on my fly! So i striked and hooked the fish. I started to bring him in but then my line broke! and the fish swam away. I was very annoyed that the fish got away because that same thing happened last time. Anyway I got over it and just remembered that that is what happens sometimes, so we started fishing in a different pond. I started casting and then I saw a huge fish! The fish then swam away. I couldn't see the fish but I still casted. I decided to move around the corner then I saw a little rainbow trout but he was too tricky.

It was  really fun fly fishing at the groynes its really nice to see fish swimming around in the ponds and trying to catch them.
